Services We Offer

Early Intensive Behavior Intervention (EIBI)

Our EIBI program targets:
  • Compliance Training
  • Communication
  • Learning Readiness
  • Social Skills Development
  • Emotional Development
  • Reducing/modifying maladaptive behaviors, such as: Tantrums, aggression, self-stimulatory behaviors, self-injurous behaviors, delopement (running away), food aversions, non-compliance and attention-seeking behaviors.
  • Play Skills

Our early intensive behavior intervention program provides 1:1 instruction to children between the ages of 18 months and 5-years old in their home using Applied Behavior Analysis methodology. Each learner is assessed using the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program) and/or other assessment methods appropriate for the child. - An individualized treatment plan is created by a highly-qualified board certified behavior analyst prior to initiating services. There is a clinical supervisor who provides instruction and supervision to the therapists. Data analysis and program modification are also provided by the supervisor. All activities are motivation-based and intentionally designed around a child's interests. For example, many children enjoy playing with trains. When a child first enters our learning environment, many different language and play skills would be taught within a train activity in order to capitalize on an already motivating and familiar activity.

Intensive Behavior Intervention

Our Intensive Behavior Intervention program provides 1:1 instruction in the home and community for children aged 5 years old and up, including adult age. Similar to our EIBI program, each client is assessed and an individual treatment plan is created using Applied Behavior Analysis methodologies. Our intensive behavior intervention program targets mild to severe maladaptive behaviors which include (but are not limited to); physical aggression, verbal aggression, property destruction, elopement, non-compliance, Pica, self-stimulation behaviors (repetitive movements), socially inappropriate behaviors and tantrums. Our treatment plans identify and teach functionally-equivalent replacement behaviors in order to reduce or eliminate maladaptive behaviors. Each program receives weekly supervision by one of our highly qualified supervisors. Our intensive behavior intervention program also provides parent training, in which we teach parents how to implement behavior plans and ABA techniques. Our program goals include: reducing or eliminating maladaptive behaviors, teaching functionally equivalent behaviors, improving the client's health and safety, increased independence, integration with family and peers, and improved quality of life.

Consultation

Our consultation services focus on empowering the parent in learning how to manage challenging behaviors that they frequently encounter with their children. We teach parents how to collect data on behavior so they can better understand and recognize patterns. This assists the parent in preventing behaviors from occurring and to teach or prompt replacement behaviors. Parents are taught the importance of using reinforcement and positive behavioral practices. Parents are also taught strategies to promote a more structured environment for their children, which also helps to prevent maladaptive behavior. We model correct program techniques and provide positive and corrective feedback to parents after observing them implement their child's behavior program. Our consultation services also include reviewing data, program modifications and current barriers to success.

Adaptive Skills Training:

Our adaptive skill training program provides 1:1 instruction in the client's home and community setting. Using an appropriate assessment tool, we assess the consumer's skill level in domains such as: Communication, community use, home/daily living skills, money skills, leisure skills, health and safety skills, work and vocational skills. An individualized program is then created based on deficits. For our older consumers (ages 14 and up), we may also use and teach public transportation access skills.
